Our build process is divided into the following five stages:- Brainstorming & Goal Setting
- Prototyping
- Designing
- Building
- Testing, Debugging & Training
We prototyped the following features:
- Ball Lift
- Ball Shooter
- Feed to Ball Shooter
We designed in AutoCAD (not Inventor):
- Ball Lift
- Hopper
- Feed Chute
- The mount and integration of the Shooter with the robot, including the "ski jump"

- 1 Week One - Brainstorm, Prototype & Research (1/8-1/14)
- 2 Week Two - Complete prototyping, robot design & begin build (1/15-1/21)
- 3 Week Three - Robot design, part fabrication & build (1/22-1/28)
- 4 Week Four - Build (1/29-2/4)
- 5 Week Five - Build (2/5-2/11)
- 6 Week Six to Finish - Test, Tweak, Fix, Lightweight & Debug (2/12-2/21)
Week One - Brainstorm, Prototype & Research (1/8-1/14)
- Brainstorm session on 1/8
- Build sub-teams
- Inventoried & organized the Kit of Parts
- Started prototyping & testing:

Week Two - Complete prototyping, robot design & begin build (1/15-1/21)
- Lift designed using AutoCad
- Lift construction seriously underway
- Building gets underway
Week Three - Robot design, part fabrication & build (1/22-1/28)
- Prototyped Ball Shooter
- Learn how to join latex tube ends to make ball lift cords
- Build & Test Ball Lift
- Build Ramp (Field Equipment)
Week Four - Build (1/29-2/4)
- Drive wheels, gearboxes & motors mounted
- Shooter assembled off robot
- Ball lift mounted onto robot
- Team logo created
- Ball feed to shooter prototyped
- Hopper built
- Bumpers started
Week Five - Build (2/5-2/11)
- Shooter Feed Chute designed & built
- Mounted
- Hopper
- Shooter
- Shooter Feed Chute
- Limit switches
- Wiring completed
- Built bumpers
- Mechanically & Electrically complete
Week Six to Finish - Test, Tweak, Fix, Lightweight & Debug (2/12-2/21)
- Testing
- Identifying & fixing bugs
- Replaced front swivel wheels with omni wheels
- DEWBOT II went on a diet
- Driver / Operator practice
