DEWBot V Team and Robot after winning the Rockwell Automation Award

The team won this award at the award ceremony on Saturday, March 21. The judges commended the team by announcing:

The Rockwell Automation Innovation in Control Award celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components to provide unique machine functions. Here is a robot that doesn’t know it’s math 6+1=3. This robot’s drive system gets the job done by morphing from a 6 wheel system dropping a 7th wheel to convert to a 3 wheel pivoting system. It has a targeting system to assist with scoring. Lastly, it keeps its competitors guessing with a reconfigurable autonomous control mode.
