Workshop
  • Justin worked in the workshop for most of the meeting repairing the treads that we made last time that did not work. Justin At the last hour of the meeting Went to the programing room and watch what happened there.
  • Bennett helped build the hanging arm, by cutting the plastic, and bolting the motor to it's mount. Then he drilled holes in the motor mount. He then watched Josh lathe, as he taught him.
  • Braden worked on changing the treads to a non divot tread again. Braden then worked on making precise 4.5 inch in and 4.29 inch out holes which took a lot of patients. Braden almost managed to completely finish the holes
  • Josh first tested the new treads with divots in them, finding them to be a failure, he promptly took the bot to the workshop and worked with Braden and Justin in order to restore the treads to their former state. After replacing the treads and re-installing them back onto the chassis, he worked to lathe new spindles. He made the diameter of the inside of the spindles about .9 inches in order to make sure both spindles moved the String at the same rate. the String would be used in the climbing system as a winch to bring us up after a spring activated arm catches the upper bar. Josh plans to help mount the spindles on Monday

18" Box
  • Myles and Braden worked together in order to assemble an 18x18 inch box that could be used to make sure the robot was legal for competition. He first used a punch so that he could create a place for the drill to cut easier. This is to make sure that the box is assembled properly and accurately.
