Post-Mortem - TEAM

What Worked
  • We won
  • Drive-train except 1 successful T-Bone
  • Autonomous - reliable high-goal scoring after crossing outer-works
  • Catapult
  • Auto-align
  • Getting picked by 225 - not being the odd man out
  • High cycle rate (3-5 cycles in teleop)
  • Drive Team
  • Pit able to fix problems
  • Dashboard (Camera view for driving)
  • Did not get stuck in Moat
  • Driving over other robots
  • We always queued in time, but sometimes without full repairs being made.
What Didn't
  • Pit - sometimes pit empty - pit checklist not followed - extraneous people in pit
  • Pit eating the drive team candy
  • Pit not listening to drive team
  • Catapult spring & stop inconsistent
  • Boulder jammed in the intake
  • Tread came off in one T-Bone attack
  • Andrew's eyes
  • Packing - did not bring magic string
  • Need to bring spares
  • Necessary tools removed from toolbox
  • Ran into 225
  • Intake came apart
Actions
  • Make new Intake(s) needed
  • Old design
  • Add gussets
  • Maybe some weight reduction
  • Fix Scouting Ap Bugs
  • Formalize pit process for tuning in the catapult
  • Need spare cameras
  • Need spare cylinders
  • scale is not accurate
  • Keep balls out of the chassis x-catapult
  • Fix the packing list (and follow it when packing!)

Post-Mortem - EVENT

What Worked
  • On schedule Saturday
  • Ran smoothly, especially the field
  • Judge food okay - even Friday (water scarce Friday)
  • Field Assembly / Disassembly
  • Volunteers (expect more diversity - less 1640 - next year)
  • Room in pits - not conjested
What Didn't
  • Food started very bad - improved Saturday but still unacceptable - Good Sunday
  • Field element staging
  • Restrooms - Low capacity - not clean - not able to lock the upstairs bathroom
  • Parking disorganized
  • Loading/Unloading
  • Very hard to hear Pit Administration
  • Very hard to understand Field announcements
  • No monitors showing game in pit area
  • Projectors very hard to see (game / score)
  • Invisibility of 1640 in event branding
  • Traffic Arrows
  • Inadequate signage (e.g. Safety Glasses Must Be Worn in the Pit)
  • No photo location (awards)
  • Blind entry from Westtown Road
  • Print badges earlier and prepare volunteer packages
  • Order more badges, shirts, etc.
  • Not enough trash cans & cans not emptied often enough
  • Communications not good enough
  • Volunteers not adequately fed
  • No food diversity
  • Red tickets no-one knew about (Volunteer food)
  • Poor and unsanitary food preparation
