What we are doing and the dates we are doing them. These are key items that should be on your schedule!

Summer FRC Meetings - 23 June - 18 Aug

We will be holding FRC meetings on Tuesdays throughout the summer from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Downingtown Educational Center. The FRC team will be working on our summer projects to develop new knowledge through prototyping and testing.

Tuesday Mentor Training - 9 June - 18 Aug

We will be holding classes for new mentors starting Tuesday night at the Downingtown Educational Center from 6:30-8:30 PM. See Mentor Workshop for details. Bring your VEX kits with you.

Wednesday VEX Roboteer Build session - 10 June - 19 Aug

Our summer build season continues at the Downingtown Educational Center from 6:30-8:30 PM. We will be starting a new robot design soon!

Good Neighbor Day - July 4, 2009

The Downingtown Robotics Team will be holding a public robotics demonstration of our current FRC,current VEX, and soon to be LEGO League robots at the July 4th, 2009 Good Neighbor Day in Downingtown, PA.

Uwchlan Day - July 11, 2009 Noon - 6PM

• Located on the LYA Fields between Lionville Middle School and Downingtown East High School.
• Parking at Downingtown East High School, Lionville Elementary, Lionville Middle School and across Route 113 by the shopping center by the McDonalds and WAWA.
• Set-up at 11AM
• Contact Faith if you can come

Pool Party - July 12, 2009

• McKown Pool
• 2PM to 8 PM
• Contact Faith on what food items you want to bring! You'll need to bring towels, chairs, and sunblock! Pool toys welcome.

Garage Clean Out! - July 18, 2009

• 18 July - Weekend 1 (Sat)
• 25 July - Weekend 2 (Sat - in case of rain or problems on the first weekend)

We will be meeting at Siri's house at 9AM to load the trailer with the last of the building material and power tools. We will be moving the lathe, so we will need extra people!

Upper Uwchlan Day - July 18, 2009 6PM-9PM

The Downingtown Robotics Team will be holding a public robotics demonstration of our current FRC,current VEX, and soon to be LEGO League robots at the Upper Uwchlan Township Block Party in Eagle, PA. (This event was moved from June to July)

• Plan is to meet at DEC at 4:00PM.
  • Load up 4:00-4:30PM.
  • Drive to Upper Uwchlan 4:30-5:00 PM.
  • Unload at 5 PM.

We have to take the floor for the robot to drive on, so we will need help loading and unloading!

Dr. Jekyll vs. Mr. Hyde - August 22, 2009

Come play Face Off in the morning and Elevation in the afternoon. BUT your robot needs to play both games. Convert your FTC or VRC to play both games and win some great prizes!. Doors open at 8AM, first match is at 9AM.

Duel on the Delaware (FRC) - October 10, 2009

Salem Community College, Carneys Point, NJ

• Pits Open at 7 AM
• Event Open 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This is our first of two off season events. We will be showcasing a new and improved [DEWBOT V]. This is also a chance for our new roboteers to go to an FRC event. Duel is a showcase for top East Coast teams.

Ramp Riot (FRC) - Saturday November 14, 2009

Wissahickon High School, Ambler, PA

• Pits Open at 7 AM
• Event Open 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This is our second of two off season events. This is also a chance for our roboteers to go to an FRC event. It is a good practice run for the upcoming FRC season. Ramp Riot draws teams from all over to this exciting and hard fought event. This is also a perfect viewers event, the upper level seating puts fans not only on top of the action on the field but also on top of the action in the pits.
