Downingtown FIRST LEGO League Tune Up 2012

You're Invited!

Downingtown's first annual FIRST LEGO League Tune Up will be held on 3 November, 2012 at Downingtown Middle School in Downingtown, PA.
This non-qualifying event is hosted by Downingtown Area Robotics to help area FLL teams gain experience and prepare for their Qualifiers in this year's game, Senior Solutions! (We are also hosting a Qualifying Event.) See you soon!

Team Registration

Registration is closed. Payment is $60/team to "Downingtown Area Robotics" with FLL team name and number in the memo line. Please mail to Rita Wall, 650 Leeward Street, Coatesville, PA 19320.

What to Bring

Consent/release forms must be completed for each coach and member of your team. Please ensure each team member has a completed form signed by their Parent/Guardian. The forms must be handed in at the team registration on November 03, 2012. Forms are available here.
Please also bring: non-dual locked field elements as well as your team profile sheet, Core Values Poster, Project presentation on a USB memory stick (if applicable, personal laptops also allow), and robot code in hard copy for judging purposes.
Please do not bring noise makers, balloons, or practice tables (practice tables will be provided).

Concessions

A variety of a la carte (breakfast and lunch) food and beverage will be for sale throughout the day. You may also pre-order lunch via this lunch pre-order form: whole pizzas for $14/ea and Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches with chips for $5/ea.

Photography

By entering the venue, you are consenting to be generally photographed for use in Downingtown Area Robotics activities, including promotional and marketing purposes.

Game & Judging Policies

Please DO NOT bring noise makers or balloons.
Practice tables will be available. Please DO NOT bring your own tables.
Please DO bring your own non-dual locked field elements to use at the practice table and at the competition table.
A computer and projector will be provided for the Project presentation judging. Please DO bring your presentation of a USB memory stick. If you choose to use your own computer, practice setting it up quickly as there are time constraints for set up and presentation, and no extra time will be allotted.
For judging, DO bring your team's Core Values Poster and a team information sheet in order to introduce yourself to the judges. Also, for Robot Design judging, please DO bring a printout of your team's computer code so that the judges can view it in hard copy.
For judging of Core Values, Project and Robot Design, each team will be allowed ONLY ONE one coach in the room to film or photograph them. Please see FLL judging guidance for further details.

From Philadelphia (0:45) or Trenton/Allentown (1:20): Get on I-76 W via Exit 326 off I-276 from Trenton or Exit 16 off I-476 from Allentown. Continue on I-76 W until Exit 328A for US-202 S. Continue on US-202 S until the Route 30 W exit toward Downingtown/Coatesville. Take this 30 Bypass to the Route 322 E exit (Manor Ave). Turn Left onto Manor Ave at the bottom of the ramp and turn Left at the 2nd stop light (Rock Raymond Rd). The school is ¼ mile down on your Right.
From Reading (0:45): Take I-176 S until Exit 2 for US-10 S/PA-23 S. Continue 1.5 miles and turn Right onto US-10 S/PA-23 W/Main Street, then take the 1st Left onto PA-10 S/Twin County R. Continune 4.5 miles and turn Left onto US-322 E/Horseshoe Pike. In 12 miles, to Left onto Rock Raymond Rd, the school is ¼ mile down on your Right.
From Wilmington (1:45): Take US-202 N/Concord Pike (merges to US-202 N/US-322 W/W Chester Bypass) until the exit for PA-100 N toward US-30 W/Exton. Merge onto US-30 W to Downingtown/Lancaster. Take this 30 Bypass to the Route 322 E exit (Manor Ave). Turn Left onto Manor Ave at the bottom of the ramp and turn Left at the 2nd stop light (Rock Raymond Rd). The school is ¼ mile down on your Right.
