Tasks Reflections
Starting to Weld the Chassis
  • Laura and Trevor started to weld the chassis.
  • Led by Keith, they followed the SolidWorks model to create the layout of the chassis.
  • Laura had learned the basics yesterday, and Trevor had also welded once before, but they are still rookies, so some of the welds were not the best.
  • Laura thought it was really fun to weld something besides test pieces.
Finishing Cutting Chassis Parts
  • Josh, Justin, Braden, and mentor Andrew were able to easily finish the parts. They made it easy by making tracers, cutting them out, pasting on the metal, and cutting the metal around it. This reduced the time of manufacturing greatly, and was fun to do as well!
  • Josh and Braden were able to finish all of the custom pieces! Now welders Laura and Trevor can weld the chassis!
