Meeting Date Meeting Time Location Attendees
TCHS Brandywine

Tasks Reflections
Installing the Bapper
  • We started the meeting with the hope of installing the bapper so we could test it on the chassis.
  • Laura ran in to trouble with the bearing blocks that had been previously made, because the holes were not lining up well with the holes on the chassis.
  • She learned how to calculate what speed to use for the mill when she used it to fix the bearing blocks.
  • She also needed to modify the bapper to fit the larger shaft. We could not key the larger hole today, because we did not have the right size tool.
  • Laura also got to use the grinding tool to cut the shaft. It was awesome. However, she accidentally cut the shaft too short so we will have to order another.
  • Laura also worked with Justin to add the motor for the bapper to the shaft.
  • Once we key the bapper, and cut a new shaft, the bapper will be ready to test on the official chassis.
