  • So, unfortunately, Akhila and Mr. Abersold didn't get to test the autonomous because there was a lot of mechanical work to be done. Instead, they started out with configuring some more of the manual operations. The newest addition is the debris lift. This was really simple. All they had to do was define the variables needed and code them correctly. They also did this for the unload climber portion of the manual control. Also, since Akhila is operating, she was able to program her own controls, which is really nice. This also means that she can change them whenever as well, if something doesn't feel right.
  • After that was done, they started to try to drive. The drive code worked pretty well, except for the fact that the scaling was a little off. That will be fixed when drivers practice is being run, so that Akhila and Josh, the driver, and discuss the controls and code them accordingly.
