Post Mordem
  • Josh commented that the servo paddles broke many ties throughout the day even if they were used properly on the zipline climbers. He proposed that we should look at the design of other teams in order to fix the problem regarding the zip line climbers. He plans to commence prototyping new designs for these paddles in the next meeting.
  • Daniel noticed that throughout the competition we were a very reliable robot in that we could execute our strategy cleanly, effectively, and reliably. This shows that we should simply keep more driver's practice, and not change our current strategy.
  • Myles made the observation that most teams use plastic arms instead of the metal ones that are currently on DJ 2. This is a possible fix for the current issue. Myles plans to help create new zipline climber lever hitter.
  • Matt noticed, through his scouting, that some of the data for the app was hard to input, he plans to work with his father, Mentor Dan, in order to make the app more intuitive for Super Regionals.
  • Akhila noticed that the autonomous was not as reliable as they once thought when on the field, she plans to work with Mr. Abersold in order to fix autonomous and make it more reliable, she will also work with the drive team in order to assure that they set the robot up correctly at the beginning of every match. She believes that a possible cause for the autonomous being less accurate is that the gyro is being effected while it is calibrating, She plans to test this by placing the robot on the field and having several members jump on the field to simulate an avalanche.
  • Braden saw that many of the successful teams at the competition could hang, he plans to create a hanging mechanism for the robot before super regionals, although he knows that if the hanging mechanism impedes the robot's current ability to climb, then it should be removed.
