Competition Season Meeting

Meeting Date Meeting Time Location Team Members in Attendance:
11 April 2016 6-9pm TCHS Brandywine Akhila, Snarr, Trevor, Matt, Josh, Daniel

Tasks Reflections
Team Meeting
  • Eric Weissman, a current FRC student and FTC 7314 student mentor, gave all the team members an insight about the World Competition for FTC and what to do there. For example he told us how to behave, how to scout properly, how to act, and how to have gracious professionalism. He told us how to behave and be calm during the matches and not scream at the drive team if something happens to the robot.
Hanging
  • The team continued to work towards hanging capability. Kudos to all, we are able to hang from the bottom of the upper ramp section, and still meet our 18 inch size requirement.
  • Testing the Hook:

Matt, Braden, Josh, Akhila, and Daniel were testing the hook for our robot to hang. We launched it from the high zone multiple times to see if our hook is consistent and will hook on to the high bar.

Robot Sizing
  • The team confirmed that the robot meets the 18 inch size requirement by using our sizing box. A few adjustment to our robot were required to allow it to reliably fit inside the 18 inch box. The team members who worked on this task is Amal, Braden, Bennett, and Daniel.
