18 April 2016 6pm-9pm TCHS Brandywine Akhila, Josh, Trevor, Amal, Braden, Bennett, Daniel

Tasks Reflections
Team Meeting
  • Today, as a team, we prioritized our schedule heading into worlds. The team gave their own ideas on what needs to be fixed on the robot. The team also talked about how decisions are made and that major decisions won't be made without majority ruling. The team also wanted to organize who's doing scouting and who's doing pit as well as what are the responsibilities within every student’s role in either the pit, or scouting. We did mention about the wiring issues and what needs to be resolved from the wiring. Overall, the meeting was necessary for all team members to be on page on our tasks and priorities for the next week.
Figuring Out Backup Materials/Priorities
  • Assessed backup materials that need to be ordered prior to World’s:
  • 2 AndyMark NeverRest 40’s
  • 1 Carbon Fiber Rod (in case the spring arm snaps)
  • 1 Tetrix V2 for arm (we used our spare when the motor smoked on Saturday)
  • 1 motor (check model) for winch
  • Velcro - (consumer-grade)
  • Duct tape
  • Outlined remaining tasks to be completed:
  • Modify ramp length based on debris tube location and remove screw. Replace screw with adhesive
  • Swap old AndyMark NeverRest 40s for newer ones in drivetrain
  • Secure the new USB connections
  • After swapping motors, wire up the chain on climbing arm to prevent slippage
  • Test and Debug Blue Autonomous
  • Lighten the robot if possible
  • Get absentee letter for school
  • Buttons? Hats? Shirts? Pit?
