Cutting the steel plate halves
The plate halves beveled at 30 degrees with a 1/8" land
The finished upper plate. Welded with a 5/32 root opening. 5/32 E6010 root pass. 5/32 E7016 fill and cap passes
Main current switch on the welder failed, can't buy one, so we rebuilt it and brought it back from the dead
