Strategy

-We all read through the rules together. It is imperative to understand the rules before attempting to decide on a strategy.

-We played a human version of Stronghold

-Each "robot" was assigned characteristics (Speed, ball control, which defenses it could cross, etc)
-After playing a 2 minute 30 second match, we discussed what strategies worked and didn't work. For example, having one person transfer boulders across the outer works and into the courtyard, while another robot then picked them up and shot them in the high goal worked very well, with a slow defense. When there was a fast defense, it became much harder to keep control of the boulders that were free in the courtyard.
