Team 1640 put in a terrific performance at MAR Championships. We finished qualifications as 4th seed with a (9-3-0) match record. We went on to lead the 4th alliance, comprising ourselves, teams 869 (Power Cord) and 1923 (The MidKnight Inventors). Alas, we lost (2-1-0) in the quarterfinals.
The team did qualify for FRC Championship, however. On points. We end the MAR competition season as the 13th ranked team in MAR.
This may seem like a poorer performance than the last two years, during which we won MAR Championships, but its really not. During the last two years, we won as the 2nd pick of the 1st alliance. Finishing quals as 4th seed really represents a big improvement in the team's performance. The fact that we were also 2nd seed at Lenape suggests this is a systematic improvent, rather than the result of good fortune alone.
