What we are doing and the dates we are doing them. These are key items that should be on your schedule!

FRC 2010 schedule

Important dates are in FRC 2010 Calendar and listed below. We will keep you posted as the dates change and become confirmed.

Just because the build season is over it does not mean that FRC is over. Now comes the fun part of driving the robot at competitions. There are two offical events that we do and 5 off season events. Come cheer DEWBOT VI on as it plays Breakaway

VEX Roboteers

Our new season playing VEX Robotics Clean Sweep started September 23 at the Downingtown Educational Center from 6:30-8:30 PM. New and experienced roboteers in 7th to 12th grade are welcome! See our Clean Sweep page for more details.

Last weeks of the 2009-2010 VEX robot season

We are building a number of different robots for the next few weeks. First up are the final touches on Pegasus and Longshot our two World Champion contenders.

We are building four robots to demo starting in April and across the summer as part of our VEX robotics outreach. These robots will be able to play Crossball a simple demonstration game.

Lastly, our crack programming team will build robots to go after the Abington Fire fighting challenge. The challenge to be held on 24 April 2010 at PSU Abington is part of the national series of robotics events. Robots enter a maze, search out and find a candle an put it out. Event details and rules

So there are lots of robot activities left, still time to come join us!

VEX Mentors - Tuesday Mentor Workshops

We've completed the last of this seasons Mentor Workshops. See Mentor Workshop for details of what the workshops cover. We will be starting them up in the fall. If you have a need for one across the summer contact Info at STEMRobotics . org to get one set up.

FIRST Lego League

The first season of Downingtown Robotics FIRST Lego League is over, but new LEGO building is coming soon. Come to the Science Fair on May 3 starting at 6:00 PM at Lionville Elementary to see last years robots and get information about 2010-2011. FRC Philadelphia Regional Preparation Meetings - March 7 - March 22

The FRC team will meet to work on improvements for Drexel. See the Post-Finger Lakes Improvement Plans for details. FRC 2010 Calendar also has the times

FRC Philadelphia Regional Competition - March 25-27, 2010

Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA

Watch DEWBOT VI strut it stuff in our "home" event. See us compete against teams from all across the country. Drexel is only 45 minutes from Downingtown and there is lots of free parking. Admission is free. Wear your DEWBOT shirts (or VEX shirts) both on sale and support your robotics team!

Sugartown FLL / VEX / FRC Demo night - April 16, 2010

Robots of all shapes, sizes, colors and flavors (yes Robot cookies!) will be on display at Sugartown Elementary on Friday April 16 starting at 7:00

VEX World Championships - April 22-24, 2010

Longshot and Pegasus head to the Lone Star State to show what Downingtown Roboteers can do. Our two teams will be competing with 350 of the best VEX teams from around the world.

Lionville Elementary Science Fair - May 3, 2010

See DEWBOT VI, all the VEX robots and an awesome FLL demo at the Lionville Elementary Science Fair and Robot Expo. Doors open at 5 PM for three hours of science exploration and robotics. Remember to wear your team t-shirts.

PARC XIII - May 8, 2010
